While the MapMyTraining tool is great for logging in my actual training, it would be great if I could pre-load a training schedule (i.e. targets) against which to compare my actual training. For instance, I use Hal Higdon Marathon training (with some deviations) and it would be great if I could pre-load my training goals for my training period and even greater if, after I load in my actual workouts against those targets, I could run a report on % compliance or see check marks or green flags or something like that for days I met your training goal.

    I second that.  Great suggestion!

I agree.  I also use a simple spreadsheet that I figure in my miles and goals for a particular run so that I know I'm on target for a race.  Excellent suggestion!

I agree as well.  In fact, i was just about to post something to that effect.  This site is useful, but would be much more so if we could plan training and then analyse it, rather than just log what we do.

We started a training group on here so we could easily email routes, but it would be a ton more useful if there was a way to upload the training schedule.  It should also have a place to add comments about that day's run/cross training.

It would be great if I didn't have to keep two separate training calendars (one for completed training and one for my training plan), I also like the idea of being able to compare my training plan to the actual.

This is a great suggestion. I find myself switching between MapMyRun and my training plan regularly. Combining them would be a huge enhancement.

Being able to plan a weeks, months, or years workload would be great. Right now I'm training for triathlons and it would be great to have all of my planning data online, instead of on tons of pieces of paper in a binder. It would be great to be able to track what type of week you are on, how long it is to your next race, and if you meet the goals you have set for yourself.

Just though I would add my thoughts although they seem to be inline with everyone elses. MapMyTri-Run- etc. are a great set of tools and improvement on them would make them invaluable.

Definitely agree, I'm planning a half marathon and it would be hugely helpful to be able to download a training plan.

You could potentially have races programmed in, so say you were doing the new york marathon you would click on that race, enter data about how fast you want to go etc, and then get a tailored program in your workout calender.

Comparing it to actuals would be really useful, and also motivating as nobody would want to fall behind!

    Great website by the way.

Does anyone know if this feature will be added at any point? It would be a huge help for me.
