I like to ride long distances to areas with hiking trails, get off the bike and lock it up, hike, then back to the bike and ride, etc.

Each of these activities would have a different heart rate, speed, length of time, etc.

Do you log them as separate workouts? I think that's the only way to do it and retain pertinent info from each activity, but it seems like that's a drawback... it would be nice to have one workout with different segments. Otherwise, what is the transition marker for? Am I missing something?

     Thanks

I was wondering the exact same thing, because I mix walking and running.  For now, I am logging them as separate.

And, what is that transition button? I watched the tutorials and didn't see it mentioned.

I've logged runs and hikes (or runs and rides) on the same day as separate workouts. Is this what you mean, or were you thinking about a more integrated approach? What I like about logging separate workouts is that I can select runs and then run stats on that alone, instead of having my cycling mileage integrated with my running mileage.

Similar to Triathlon, how do I mark my transitions... I would like to plot the swim, bike and ride on one map with splits for beginning and end of each transition... is there a way to do that on one map?

    Thanks

One of the big things on our product development roadmap is looking at ways to extend both the mapping tool and the workout logs to incorporate multi-sport workouts -- as well intervals and smaller distances like 100m for our swimmers.

No ETA yet but this is on our ever growing list!
