I'm having the same problem in that I can't map to points already marked as part of the route. If you map to the nearest point that deviates from the road already traveled, then the program will map over what you've already mapped. That's assuming that it doesn't choose an alternate route for you.

would love an answer to this question. I have several routes that may include a loop, and can't figure out how to map them, since the same points are sometimes included. Help, please!

I'm having this problem also. My only solution has been to magnify the map as much as possible and click as close to my already plotted points as I can while watching the distance counter to see if it picks up the new point I've made.

It's easier if you are on a road because you can check the 'follow roads' box and then click anywhere near the already plotted route along the road without clicking on it, and map my run will automatically follow along the road in the proper route.

How about if you want to do an 'out and back' in PART of your ride/route but not the whole thing? It would be cool if I could do that. In a few races and my preferred rides, I bike or run out for some distance than follow a loop (not like the loop function, but it looks like a loop on my route) and come back. Depending on the day, I might do the 'out and back' 2, 3 or 4 times, but once the route is saved, I don't have to plot a completely new route and can't use the 'out and back' function for just part of my route either way.

You can 'Hide Map Markers' in Map Settings -- If the distance markers get in the way, you can also hide the distance markers...
