location: Los Gatos, California distance: 6.20 mi. | Route Type: Hike created by: description: The Hike starts at the Park Entrance on 15000 Skyline Blvd and heads straight down the Ridge trail. For this hike you start at almost the highest point and head downhill for a little bit and then take the right fork in the trail after you cross a small wood bridge. Continue west over to the camp site passing Goat Rock which is popular for rock climbers and the Interpretive Shelter. The Castle Rock Trail Camp is about the half way point in distance and maybe time as well. Near the Camp the trail changes to Saratoga Gap as it heads back east losely parallel to the previous trail. Before mile 5 is a small observation point overlooking a waterfall. Start your climb back towards the parking lot passing your earlier 1st turn and take a right turn that leads up to the high point of the park near a series of boulders that are also popular for climbing. Continue on the trail back down to the parking lot. View | Video | Print | Bookmark | Write a Story | Tell-A-Friend |
