Once we clear the over growth, we then veer right (northwest) where another narrow trail leads us west towards the Puget Sound, eventually turning left walking parellel to the "perfume factory", till we reach the Coast Gurad light house. Form here we head south east running parallel to the shoreline, maybe 200 yards, and 19 feet above sea level, till we reach a trail on the left, that leads us up towards the bluff, 340 feet above. Once there, we continue heading in a south east direction, till the trail moves east, leading to the southern entrance to Discovery Park. Here we head north and continue for 350 yards till we reach the "main" road that leads into and out of Discovery park. Once here, we cross and follow another paved off-road that eventually will lead us back to where we initially ascended from, 0.74 from the start. The south bluffs provided a steep downhill hike with man made stairs, which eventually leads you to the government way and on to the shoreline. From there it is relatively flat till you get back up into the thicket, where you start climbing back up to higher ground. Stairs gives you a bit of a challenge. Great for the legs.
