Description of this Hike

Great 14-15 mile hike through Cunningham Falls and Catoctin parks. This hike starts at the Manor Area Campground parking lot just off 15 a couple of miles south of 77. There is a $3 fee/car to park here. For a shorter hike the loop portion at the top can be done from the Catoctin Visitor Center on 77. The loop is about 6 miles. It starts with a 1.5 mile 1000 ft climb. From there it's pretty flat for a while going from the top of Bob's Hill to Cat Rock. From Cat Rock it's a big down hill to the Catoctin park headquarters then right back up to Chimney Rock and Wolf Rock. Guess what's next, another down and back up to Cat Rock. From this point it's retracing your steps back to the Manor Area parking lot.
