Description of this Run

Scenic quiet path around a small lake. Nice shade through roughly half of the course. Only foot traffic (runners & walkers) is allowed -- meaning no bikes whizzing by. Each single loop around the lake is almost exactly 1 mile. There is a parking lot and a great park/playground right at the start of the path. There is also a huge city-run water slide on the other side of the playground. On-site, there are a couple of covered picnic shelters as well as public restrooms (permanent structures, not Porta-Potties). It really has all of the charm of running or walking around, say, Lake Nokomis or Harriet, but much quieter and peaceful...and shorter if you don't have time for a longer run. Give it a try. I think you'll really like it.
