A wonderful, but overlooked narrow woods trails in the middle of Chicago IL situated on the east bank of the Northshore Channel, between Touhy and Devon Avenues. Approximately 2 miles looping trail trip through varied terrain with twists & turns and some down trees along the way. Great for trail running, XC-Skiing, mountain biking and weekend walks with your dog. Animals seen along the trail include: beaver, coyote, deer, red fox, raccoons, river otters, rabbits, skunks and squirrels. Birds include hawks, herons, egrets, robins, starlets, crows, seagulls, Canada geese and Mallard ducks. There are also large box turtles and snapping turtles.
