A couple of weeks ago I spotted one of my managers at work wearing these shoes that she got as a Christmas gift from someone in her direct family. For quite some time I've been looking for a type of shoe that I can use to bike in as well as be able to wear to work as well. I spent a lot of time scrambleing to find something that I can workout in and have it be work appropriate. I even went to my local bike shop and asked them about their cycleing shoes,�none of which fit in with what I was looking for. I used to carry my workout shoes to work with me in my backpack and I wanted something I could just wear to work and then be able to head to the gym and not have to strain my back by putting something that just adds on weight into my backpack.

I asked my manager where she got her shoes and she told me that she got them as a gift from her aunt�for about 65 bucks from the Skechers store. So this last Friday I decided to stop in the Skechers store at my mall and tried on the shoes that I saw. I told the clerk that I was looking for something that I can wear to work and be able to ride my bike at the same time instead of carrying extra shoes with me to change. Real bike shoes fell out of the option for me because 1.) I have flat feet which I have to use arch supports for all my shoes, and 2.) Cycleing shoes are meant to be stiff for better workouts on the hamstrings and the general back of your leg musscles. Thats not gonna do well when you work retail and have to be on your feet the whole day.

Now I been wearing the Skechers Biker Straightaways Style #21552 (www.skechers.com) for a few days now and can honestly say that I really enjoy them. They are very light and grip well onto my peddles and at times feel like bikeing withough shoes. Not to mention that they fit well into my work dress code because due to their rather casual kind of style. Basically its a sneaker that doesnt look like one. If you are the type that is looking for something like this, then this is a great product. However it is not for those who are high endurance road cyclers cuz...Well...You guys know your stuff when it comes to prepareing for that big race or big ride in general.
