ONLY FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE IN A PHYSICALLY GOOD SHAPE.
My absolute favorite hike/run. I couldn't map the incline exactly. But when you are on HWY24, take the Manitou springs exit, follow signs to the Cog Railway ...Main street, about the middle take a left up a steep hill, pass the real Cog Railway, until 100 yards ahead you see a sign on your right for the trailhead. Don' take the Barr Trail that's a different hike.Turn west und scramble up the side of the hill. Plenty of people have been there and you ask anyone they all know the way. Once you get up there don't be deterred by the "no tresspass sign" everyone goes. Chances are you are in plenty of company. Absolutely necessary: Waterbottle/camelbak and lots off it. It has happened before where I shared my water with inexperienced hikers.
The Trail:
The Incline as it exists now is the roadbed to the former Mount Manitou Scenic Incline Railway â
